The first day of the conference

The first day of the conference, Monday, September 25, 2017, was officially opened by the welcoming speech of the federal prosecutor Hajrija Hadziomerovic-Muftic, and the plenary continued with the presentation of the publications “How to Achieve Greater Efficiency, Independence and Accountability of the Judiciary in Bosnia and Herzegovina – Recommendation “(Citizens’ Forum Tuzla and USAID),” Handbook for the Treatment of Children Victims and Children Witnesses of Criminal Offenses “(UNICEF & CPRC), “Guidelines for professionals on Responding to Cases of Violence Against Children in Digital Environment (MFS-EMMAUS, UNICEF, European Union (DCI), “Handbook for Prosecutors for the Prosecution of Domestic Violence cases” (DCAF & Atlantic Initiative), “Violence Against Children Through Information and Communication Technologies – Teacher Training for Police Officers in Bosnia and Herzegovina” A Guide for Judges and Prosecutors on the Topic of High-tech Crimes and Protection of Minors in the Republic of Serbia “(Save the Children).

The International Forum of Solidarity, a participant and co-organizer of the Panel 4, will also, for the first time present a publication for professionals “Guidelines for Professionals on Responding to Cases of Violence Against Children in Digital Environment” to the expert public. This document, developed within the activities of the project “Development of Guidelines for the Prevention of Violence against Children in Bosnia and Herzegovina Adapted to Children”, funded by UNICEF and implemented by IFS-EMMAUS, was created by a team of selected experts, and the final goal of this publication is to give a detailed explanation of the steps to professionals working in relevant institutions (schools, pedagogical institutes, ministries of education, etc.) of what should they do in cases of violence against children in the digital world, the phenomenology of this relatively new type of violence, and how to recognize and prevent the same.
