Final Conference “Achievements and Next Steps” in the project „Promoting a Victim Centered Approach in Trafficking Cases in Albania and Bosnia and Herzegovina“, implemented by the International Forum of Solidarity EMMAUS, supported by the Dutch Helsinki Committee, will be held on Monday, July 3rd, 2017, in the Hotel Sarajevo, Sarajevo.
The conference will be officially opened by H.E. Mr. Jurriaan Kraak, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Ms. Amela Efendic, Head of the Sarajevo Office, International Solidarity Forum-EMMAUS, and will officially begin by signing the Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation between the Dutch Judicial Academy / Center for Training and Judicial Studies SSR) and the Center for Education of Judges and Prosecutors of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Center for Education of Judges and Prosecutors in Republika Srpska. The Memorandum will be signed by Mr. Remco van Tooren, Vice President of the Board of Directors, Dutch Judicial Academy; Mr. Arben Murtezic, Director of the Center for Education of Judges and Prosecutors of Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina; And Mr. Tomislav CaviC, Director of Center for Education of Judges and Prosecutors of Republika Srpska.
Exhibitors are appreciated by experts from the Netherlands and Bosnia and Herzegovina: judges, prosecutors and human rights activists, and the conference will be attended by members of the project group of educators in the judiciary for trafficking in human beings and representatives of the State Task Force in the fight against trafficking in human beings, as well as the representatives of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Netherlands in BiH, of the Dutch Judicial Academy , of the Netherlands Helsinki Committee, of the Ministry of Security of BiH / Department for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings, of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Center for Education of Judges and Prosecutors of the Federation of BiH and the Center for Education of Judges and Prosecutors of Republika Srpska, of the OSCE Mission in BiH, of IFS-EMMAUS, and other guests.
The objectives of the Conference are to present the achievements and results of the Project, as well as to define the following steps forward for future cooperation between the relevant stakeholders from the Netherlands and Bosnia and Herzegovina in the field of promotion of the victim-targeted approach in cases of trafficking in human beings, the achievements and results of the project will be summarized, steps for further future cooperation will be established and developed.
